Privacy Policy
01 Scope
This policy explains what Index Pages (“Index Pages”, “we”) collects when you use our indexing service and this website, and what we deliberately choose not to collect. It applies to every customer, in every region, whichever language you read the site in.
Creating an account or submitting URLs means you accept it. If you do not, do not use the service – and if you already have, the Terms of Use explain how to close the account.
What the service promises and does not promise is a separate subject, and it lives in the Terms of Use rather than here.
02 What we collect
We keep the data footprint as small as the service allows. In practice that means:
- Account basics – an email address and an authentication credential.
- Submission metadata – the URLs you push, timestamps, target engines, and per-URL status.
- Operational logs – request-level telemetry needed to run and secure the pipeline.
- Payment references – on-chain transaction identifiers for crypto top-ups, and the amount credited.
That is the whole list. No name, no address, no phone number, no company details, no card data – we do not ask for them because we do not need them. Email verification is required, and it is the only identity check we run.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell data to anyone, for any purpose.
03 Your URL lists
We treat your URL lists as confidential. We never store page content, and every customer URL is redacted from all public surfaces we operate – including the live demos on our own homepage.
Your submitted URLs are used solely to perform indexing on your behalf. They are not shared with other customers, published, or used to build any public directory. Where we display activity publicly – such as the live feed on the marketing site – addresses are masked before they ever leave our systems.
You own your list. We just push it.
04 How we use data
We use the data above to operate the service: to validate and dispatch your submissions, to report status back to you, to reconcile top-ups, to prevent abuse, and to meet our legal obligations. Nothing more.
We also compute aggregate, de-identified statistics – such as the median time-to-index we publish – that cannot be traced back to any individual customer or URL.
We send transactional email: verification, order status, balance events, and material changes to these documents. We do not run a marketing list you have to escape from.
05 Payments
We accept cryptocurrency only – BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC and many other coins – handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses, and we never see them.
What we retain is the minimum needed to reconcile a top-up: the on-chain transaction reference and the amount credited to your balance. Blockchains are public and permanent by design; what is visible on-chain is outside anyone's control, including ours. Money terms themselves are in the Refund Policy.
06 Who else touches it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: infrastructure and hosting, the payment processor, and transactional email delivery. They act on our instructions, for the purposes above, and nothing else.
Beyond that, we disclose data only where the law requires it, and only to the extent it requires. We do not hand over customer lists on request, and we have nothing to give an advertiser because we do not collect anything an advertiser would want.
Data may be processed in jurisdictions other than yours. Where transfers need a legal basis, we put appropriate safeguards in place.
07 Both directions
Confidentiality here runs both ways, and it is fair to say so in the same document.
Your URLs, your volumes, and your account activity are confidential to you. We do not discuss one customer's work with another, and we do not use your list as an example, a case study, or a demo without written permission.
How the pipeline works is confidential to us. It is the product of years of proprietary work, we do not disclose it, and anything you learn about our internals is covered by the Terms of Use. Attempts to determine how the service works end the account immediately – see the Acceptable Use Policy. That is also why some of our operational logging is deliberately not described in detail here: describing it would describe the method.
08 Retention
Submission metadata is retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards, for accounting and dispute resolution. Operational logs are rotated on a rolling window.
When you close your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the associated data, except where retention is required by law. Deletion of a submission record does not un-send a submission – see the Refund Policy for what dispatch means.
09 Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, write to privacy@index-pages.com from the address on your account – we verify requests before acting on them, which is a protection for you rather than an obstacle.
We answer within one business day and complete the work within the statutory window that applies to you. There is no charge for any of it.
Closing the account is always available, at any time, without giving a reason. We would rather you did that than stayed somewhere you were uneasy.
10 Changes
We update this policy as the service changes. The effective date and version at the top move with it, and material changes are emailed to the address on your account.
Continuing to use the service after a change is acceptance of it. Service incidents and availability history are on the status page.
